4,000 psi Monsoon

A super heavy duty three phase pressure cleaner designed for mining, transport and construction markets has been developed by Australian Pump Industries. Called the Monsoon 400, the new machine develops 4,000 psi with a maximum flow of 15 litres per minute.
"We developed a 4,000 psi machine because we get the cleaning job done faster but use less water than conventional machines," said Aussie Pumps Product Manager, Tony Kelly.
The big machine is powered by 7.5kW (10HP) IP55 four pole TEFC electric motor and comes in a heavy duty steel frame with 13” pneumatic tyres for ease of movement.
The heart of the system is a “Big Berty” Bertolini KTV series triplex pump. The pump, which features a nickel plated brass head and ceramic pistons, is protected by an ASP (Aussie Safety Protection) kit. The ASP kit includes a thermal dump to protect the machine if left on bypass, and a safety valve. The safety valve is designed to protect both the operator and the machine from pressure spikes.
“The big Monsoon is designed for super tough applications that European pressure cleaners can’t handle,” said Kelly. “That’s why we tend to over engineer, building machines that are virtually bullet proof,” he said.
The new Monsoon is ideal for earthmoving contractors, transport companies, or any industrial application requiring consistent, fast and high production cleaning.
